The error basically says, these are 1st Job Skill Points, you can't use them on these skills.
Also, apparently, you get 3 SP reset scrolls a day, and if your use inventory is full, you have to make space and relog.

Yeah the SP reset scrolls work perfectly. They reset all the SP and even if you put SP into an earlier job advancement while you were leveling, you can use that SP for the job advancement you got them in. No one has anything to worry about with these SP reset scrolls.

long time ago in gms tespia the max sp you could have was 255 after that you were losing all the sps gained...

He's referring to the max 255 SP available in any job, but since you get 3 SP per level and there aren't 255/3 = 85 levels in any one job, that shouldn't really be an issue at all. There's only 243 SP in 4th job, and that's as high as it gets.

I'm only 3rd job so i haven't gotten that much SP yet, but if that still exists it'll obviously be noticed and fixed before release. :/
You get a scroll when you log in. It expires in a week. You use it, all your skills have 0 SP and all the SP you should have at your level is totaled and put into the skill point counter. That total is split up between 1st/2nd/3rd/4th jobs and if you run out of SP for that job, you can't add any more.

Obviously you can still do that. What i meant was, if before the SP resets you put 3rd job SP into a 1st job skill (i put shockwave points into double fire), after you use the reset, you can use those points for 3rd job skills again.

Savage Blow + SP hits 12 times now and Bstep + SP hits 4 times now, that'll be some good training grind damage with maxed Venom!

If SPs were reset to 0, do you think something similar happened to the new hp formulas? For example, I heard the archers got a new HP formula thats better than what it is now. Does that mean they reset the hp to what you would have at level 1 or something then apply the new formula to your current level? Because if they did something like that, all the HP washes we've done so far would be gone to waste. If they don't reset to the new formula, then all the old classes are stuck with the lower hp compared to the new ones. They should have just done what they did to Thiefs and give other classes like 10% hp increase.
