Just got my update done. Some reason my router isn't letting me downloading so I had to hijack a neighbor's connection. Got my Super Mario Land and my Link's Awakening. Manual restore points sexy as hell.

It's probably even easier to do, since the AR markers are made up of black and white squares.

Too bad Wailord isn't available. There is data for all released moves though (you can find Roar of Time and Splash just fine, no V-generate though).

Six days remain until the first good game on the 3DS is released! Has anyone bought anything else yet? If so, what are your impressions?

One of my sisters' got "Super Monkey Ball 3D" when it came out. Game was fun, but too headache inducing for me. I can only play it without the 3D activated.

Ghost recons a pretty good tactical game. Generic plot, but a nice length story mode, complete with minor rpg elements that do improve the game. I'd say it was the best launch title easily.
Rayman 2 shows its age. It's an ok platformer, but there are problems that exist simply due it just being an old port. 3D is bad
Street fighter 4 is boring/ seems to be a bad game in general.
Dead or alive Dimensions. Its a far better fighter than street fighter. Online is pretty good too.
Super monkey balls ok, better than some of the more recent efforts, but far too short. Modes other than the main one suck. Dropping in price pretty fast, so it might be worth getting for cheap.

Of those, the only ones I would legitimately recommend are Ghost Recon : shadow wars and Dead or alive dimensions, if you like turn based tactic games and fighters respectively.
Also bought some DSiware.
Of the ones I bought, I'm recommending Shantae, Mighty flip champs , PicoPict, Aura Aura Climber and Plants Vs zombies (though it lost some graphical quality in the jump to Ds)
Some others that look good so far but I havne't spent long enough with to recommend on dsiware are Dragon quest wars and Zenonia.
Recommending noone buys 10 second run, soul of darkness or Excitebike (when it stops being free anyway, its ok for free but its not worth paying for)
Also Links awakening (i.e. the best 2D zelda) is on the 3DS virtual console. I demand everyone gets it.

Huh? SSF4 was one of the better launch games. I still play it online from time to time, but... well, it's a fighting game, so you have to be into that to enjoy it. :x

Played Zenonia on iTouch; it's pretty fun but very grindy and if you're playing it on a 3DS you should really be playing a better DS RPG instead.

I was watching a livestream of a French television channel earlier and there was actually a commercial (on television!) for the Pokedex app thing.

Is this a joke? I mean, I intend to get it anyway but it is easily the WORST 2D Zelda save everything on the NES. Oracle of Time/Ages both put Link's Awakening to shame, LttP is better (not as good as OoT/A imo) and Minish Cap >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any other 2D Zelda.

No... It's definitely not the worst. I'd say the worst goes to either Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks. I'd say Spirit Tracks holds the title, though.

Neither of those are 2D, otherwise yes, they would take the award. And no, ST > PH. PH was fucking awful.

2D, 2.5D... it doesn't matter. It's still top-down view cartoony Zelda.

So my copy of OOT turned up without the preorder bonuses. Son of a peach. If I have to return it to get them, much raging will occur.

You got it already? It's not out until the 19th...

What were you supposed to get in Britain?

 Spoiler

It's more the principle of it that annoys me, I preordered it in advance by several months, theres no way I was too late for it.
