Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Will - 2011-10-25 Simple question, do you feel that Nexon's business practices; whether it be the patches, glitches, exploits, etc., is unfair to the playerbase? Basically, do you feel that Nexon is fair to you, the consumer? Or do you feel the business practices of Nexon exist to take advantage of you? Do you agree with the way Nexon handles GMS, or Maplestory (and any other of their games) in general? Why or why not?

Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - CrazyForDex - 2011-10-25 I feel it has been unfair since potential came out. It was more managable before then. For the fact of them milking all they can out of the potential system, I'd say they do. >Implement broken system encouraging players to spend more money on the game >Implement items to make chances better at getting better gear, milking more money out of the same system >Implement items that remove the chances to break items, milking more money from the same system. >When everyone's satisfied with their equipment, introduce a new tier of that broken system with a new item that costs more money than the previous item that can only be used for that specific tier. >Increase the number of upgrades the item can have and increase the cash item's ability to remove the chance of breaking the item at higher upgrades You know they're doing that on purpose. It's their way of milking money out of the player's pockets; a.k.a, exploiting the players' wallets. Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - KhainiWest - 2011-10-25 I very well think in fact nexon abuses the player base. They are all about the refreshing of players and discarding the old ones. I dropped the company and all its games entirely. Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Dark Link - 2011-10-25 Isn't this similar to the whole "Gambling" debacle that's going on right now? Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Corn - 2011-10-25 For some reason I thought exploit meant something else >_>. Yeah, they exploit you guys. Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Foxino - 2011-10-25 I wouldn't put as strong as exploit. But they certainly do abuse what influences they have over their players. Some could say good business skills. Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - SwordStaker - 2011-10-25 Not exploit. They're a company. They want to drain us for all their worth. It's the exact same thing Nintendo, Sony etc does. They make something you want to buy, you buy it. The potential system is no different. You want better gear, give us your money. Don't see a problem. Gaming systems, you want whats new has the better graphics and does all this and more? Give us money. Yes, other companies do the same thing, but they go about it in a much more subtle manner. A good company exploits the consumers without making the consumers feel like they're being exploited. No bosses need you to spend nx, the problem there is that you think that you should spend it because of the profit, maple story bosses aren't worth it, the profit is very low unless you can solo it or you have a small party that shares the profit but still it is low, IMHO they should put something like the old reward system from KPQ/LPQ and increase the exp from them so bosses are profitable Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Luxeraph - 2011-10-25 Chicocl Wrote:No bosses need you to spend nx, the problem there is that you think that you should spend it because of the profit, maple story bosses aren't worth it, the profit is very low unless you can solo it or you have a small party that shares the profit but still it is low, IMHO they should put something like the old reward system from KPQ/LPQ and increase the exp from them so bosses are profitableI'd like to see a group kill PB, CHT or Empress with unpotted equips (or rare with bad stats) and no wheels. Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Seanny - 2011-10-25 The fact that Nexon released a game with Korea in mind with no sincere effort to adapt it to US Markets is exploiting us enough. Obviously with the ability to ban by KSSN they don't have to worry about hackers as much, and thus could get away with a less secure client. They haven't made any strong effort to reprogram the game for the U.S. with this issue in mind yet i don't see any reduced prices to the cash shop to compensate for it. (even comparing items with similar functions in other games.... MS is on the rediculous side.) I always did believe Nexon's 'Love' for MS was strictly for the korean version. All other versions are merely for profit with only the shallowest concern for the game's state and quality. Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Heidi - 2011-10-25 Seeing as I don't buy NX, it isn't an issue for me. I voted no. Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Bomber - 2011-10-25 Putting in the potential system alone is abuse in my eyes. Do you feel Nexon exploits it's playerbase? - Sarah - 2011-10-25 There is no other answer besides 'yes.' It's not a matter of opinion, it's a fact. This isn't "do you think Nexon does good things sometimes." or "Do you think Nexon has gotten better." Or something quantifiable; it's a yes or no question about a company who thrives on people who they continually mistreat. They are exploitative beyond question. |
